Elizabeth has contributed to over 40 magazines over the last 15 years and is the author of six books on the joys of Italian life. She blogs at Elizabeth Minchilli in Rome and is also the developer of the new iPhone app Eat Rome.

Ci sono tanti “tamarri” al nord…solo che si chiamano “truzzi”. Napoli in sé c’entra ben poco.
I downloaded and love Elizabeth’s app. She writes and speaks graciously, informatively, and with breezy authority. EAT ROME is now my primary resource for eating in the Eternal City.
Ciao Amy, thanks for the other vocab word – truzzi – we hadn’t heard of it. Just a note we weren’t implying the origin of tamarro is from Naples, not sure where that was mentioned.
While talking about Jersey Shore…minute 3:50 (“maybe they just should have gone to Naples, because if you watch some of the shows you’ll see there are some tammari just like them…”).
